Here, the focus centred on value engineering and sustainability. Working closely with the Group’ s commercial and technical teams, MIDA’ s in-house engineering department developed an advanced earthworks model that reconfigured site levels to balance the site’ s soil quantities. This innovative solution significantly reduced topsoil and subsoil disposal requirements, lowering both project costs and the carbon emissions associated with transporting material off site. Following refinement by Vistry’ s engineering team, the final strategy delivered substantial financial savings alongside measurable environmental benefits, demonstrating how intelligent engineering can create value well beyond the construction phase.
