On the contract side, the business has recently secured several significant wins, including contracts with Suffolk County Council and Lincolnshire County Council, as well as major programmes with national agencies. National Highways’ Road Investment Strategy 3( RIS3) involves a major technology refresh with new signs, signals, outstations and CCTV, and SWARCO holds long-term four- and fiveyear contracts to deliver those elements.“ There is a lot of responsibility placed on us to make sure that the technology is delivered to a high standard, on time and securely, so that National Highways can execute a risk-free programme and push that forward,” John notes.
