Robbie Deaville , Creative Director at Better Energy , shares insights into a trial project using this approach for Persimmon Homes . “ During this trial , we used several of our products at the property , including integrated solar roofing , an EV charging point , an elegant range of infrared heating panels , air sourced hot water cylinders , and rechargeable battery storage systems . The primary objective of this project was to showcase the tangible impact that Better Energy ’ s solutions can have on a property , and make any necessary improvements based on the findings . The project was executed on two newly built three-bed houses , with one of the properties equipped with our products while the other served as a comparison without our solutions . This setup allowed us to highlight the advantages offered by our solutions in terms of energy efficiency and cost savings . Eventually , this comparative analysis clearly demonstrated the savings achieved on energy bills through the utilisation of our products , resulting in the property being awarded an ‘ A ’ energy rating . Notably , Project CÜRV enabled the property to achieve overall annual savings of 32.4 per cent in comparison to regular gas running costs . To ensure these solutions were efficient beyond the new build environment , we conducted similar trials in the retrofit market , resulting in positive feedback from clients . Their testimonial emphasised the significant impact our integrated solutions had on their energy bills . It is worth noting that even clients who only started off with one of our solutions – like solar panels for example – have experienced improvements in energy efficiency and lower bills . Therefore , Better Energy provides a one-stop shop for both domestic and commercial needs ,” he ends .
