Quantity Surveyor of the Year award for two consecutive years and the acclaimed Apprentice of the Year title at the Civil Engineering Contractors Association ( CECA ) North East Awards . The company ’ s Chairman , Alan Davison , was also honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award . Additionally , two employees secured the Manager of the Year title and a Highly Commended accolade in the Plant Operator of the Year category at the National Federation of Demolition Contractors ( NFDC ) Awards .
The business has also received various innovation and sustainability awards , largely due to its recycling efforts . “ We develop and self-deliver a range of surfacing solutions through our asphalt production company , Tynedale Roadstone , and use materials from our hard rock quarry in Northumberland ,” Dave explains . “ We lay these on local road networks through our surfacing division , part of Rainton Construction .
